MTN Ghana mobile money transactions in 2015 are four times 2014, having added 2m new users over the same period.   MTN Ghana is the leading telco in Ghana and partnering with local banks like GTBank, UMB, UBA, Stanbic, Ecobank, ADB, Cal Bank and Access Bank has helped grow their payment method considerably.

Bharti Airtel transactions in Africa (17 countries) grew by more than 70% this quarter to an annualised $12bn and almost 800m transactions.  In Ghana they have introduced NFC and local airline Korongo sell tickets that can be paid for with Airtel Money.
